About the press
A human-first editorial partner.
Korponai Press publishes books about how people think, heal and perceive reality, in English and Spanish.
Calvin Korponai began publishing in 2023 and founded the press in early 2024 to foster critical thinking and ideas that serve the greater good. We are deliberately small. We choose the projects we take on, and we work with every author personally, from the first conversation to launch day and beyond.
Unconventional views sometimes need an extra push. That is our work: giving paradigm-shifting books the editorial care, design and distribution they deserve, so they can reach the readers who are waiting for them.
Calvin is Bolivian and trilingual, and the press lives between north and south. We have authors and projects in the United States, Costa Rica and Bolivia, and we see the gap between those worlds as a place for books to cross.

Writing Explained
Full manuscript ghostwriting
Our most complete service. You bring an idea, an outline, or a collection of thoughts and research; we write the entire manuscript. It includes in-depth consultations on your vision, audience, tone and key messages, research, outlining, drafting, regular drafts for your feedback, and a consistent voice that sounds like you.
Manuscript development and expansion
For a partial manuscript, a detailed outline or extensive notes. We review what exists, expand sections with depth and evidence, write new chapters to fill gaps, and structure and refine the whole.
Collaborative writing
For authors who want to stay hands-on. We take on specific chapters or sections, or refine and expand your drafts, with clear roles agreed from the start.
Nonfiction and fiction
Self-help, spirituality, memoir and biography, business, how-to and research-based books. In selected cases, novels, short story collections and screenplays.
Editing Explained
Manuscript evaluation
A big-picture read of structure, argument, pacing, clarity of purpose and market potential. You receive a detailed written report of strengths, weaknesses and suggestions for revision. Best done after a full draft, before line-by-line work.
Line edit
Sentence- and paragraph-level work on style and clarity: wordiness, flow and transitions, word choice, rhythm, tone and voice. We suggest changes directly and rewrite passages to show what is possible.
Copy edit
A meticulous pass for technical correctness and consistency: grammar, spelling, punctuation, capitalization, usage against Chicago style, internal references and basic formatting.
Heavy edits
Substantive development, restructuring, rewriting and content enhancement for manuscripts that need deeper intervention, always in close collaboration with you.
Publishing Explained
Cover design
Concept development, artwork and photography, typography, layout and finishes for print, plus an ebook cover that reads well on every screen.
Interior design and typesetting
Typography, margins and leading, chapter openings, running heads, front and back matter, and print-ready files with correct trim, bleed and marks.

Korponai Press is open to submissions from authors, thinkers, researchers, and creators with a compelling book to bring into the world.
We are particularly interested in original nonfiction, fiction, unconventional ideas, consciousness and spirituality, human potential, cultural and historical inquiry, and deeply researched perspectives that challenge readers to think differently.
You don’t necessarily need to have everything figured out. You may have a completed manuscript, a work in progress, or simply a powerful book concept that you believe needs to exist.
Our model
We are a hybrid publisher.
Our model sits between traditional publishing and independent self-publishing.
Rather than leaving authors to navigate the publishing process alone, we work directly with selected authors through the development, editing, design, publication, distribution, marketing, and promotion of their books.
Our goal is not simply to put a book on Amazon.
We want to help build books that matter—and authors whose ideas deserve to be heard.
